That faith that cannot see

The title might be hard to understand, but that is probably how I would title Hebrews 11:1.  Faith is not what we can see.  Faith is Who we can see and know because He longs for us too.  It is very hard to be sure because the answer to a particular prayer, problem or whatever is not immediately evident.

Yet, I find that my faith gets strengthened when I go through these times, and I know without a shadow of a doubt it is all God.  There is nothing I could have done to make it come about.  Most of the time what I see is nothing and have absolutely no clue how it will be answered or the problem resolved.

Yet this I know and therefore I have hope, He is God and He never leaves me, always loves me.

Waiting and Seeking

Have you ever been in a long season of life that for one reason or another never seems to come to some sort of end or close?  It has been that way for me for going on 11 years now.  Some may say it is a season of being refined, some may say trials, some may say it is just the way life is. Out of all of those previously listed, that last one, to me at least, would be the one that beings no hope at all.

Hope, as Paul wrote in Romans, has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.  It isn't a giddy feeling, or a false reasoning Paul gave.  I believe it is fact.  Why?  As Paul's letter to Titus states, "God never lies."  Therefore, I have hope.  He never lies, I can believe what He says and all that He says.

Some have other sources for basing their hope, eventually though anything devised by "mankind" will show itself unable to give the Hope that never leaves. People can only hope to influence another person and by the grace of God they can.  Ultimately, the ability to influence must be from The Lord working within where no one but Him can see.  By His Spirit it comes forth from the life of the one touched.
Have you allowed the Lord to fill you, speak to you, mold you so that He can change you, therefore influencing others to change, and to ultimately bring Him glory?

Mother's Day

Today has been a very nice and quiet kind of a day.

I appreciate all that God has given me and Blessed me with.  Plus I am listening to a teacher who is speaking about "soul".  Whether it be the "soul" of the human being or animal.  He believes animals have souls, but not eternal life.  When this teacher speaks about "soul", he is equating souls with thoughts and beliefs.

I love contemplating but I am not a person who gets into "philosophy".   I love God with all my mind,  I am not gifted to think in ways a philosopher does.  However, I do love the way the Holy Spirit can speak to my mind or heart while I am reading.  It can be when I am reading the Bible .  When I read other books the challenge is to always discern what I am reading.  In other words, not take it what I read as truth because it is either stated as such or implied
In America, we need to learn to read whatever with discernment, not just take what any author says or implies as factual or truth.  The Bible should be the standard and is the only standard of Truth!!!!

A new direction

Has not been too long since I began to pray and ask God for what His plans for me now are.  This is just a beginning.  I am a home school mom, I love studying the Word, I love the Lord.  Been married almost 23 years now, have 2 fine and growing boys.
