Spiderman 2 Discussion Guide and Giveaway!
Title: His Greatest Battle Begins Discussion Guide (The Amazing Spiderman 2)
Most children these days love to emulate their favorite superhero in play acting, with costumes, putting in a DVD or other avenues to watch Spiderman constantly. Even among some close family members who have three young boys, each one loves to pretend to be a different hero. The joy for me is watching the interaction and how sometimes no one wants to play the bad guy!
With Spiderman 2 due to be released on May 2, 2014, a great way to use this movie as a teachable moment is to use the family discussion guide. I think this is an easy method to talk about some ideas: The Nature of Power, Time is Luck & Life Is Precious, Choices & Destiny ending with Sacrifice. The guide gives a couple of questions to help people share their thoughts about the topics. I think this is one discussion that most parents won’t have to persuade their children to participate in!
The guide gives how these topics are shown in the movie. Then, through just a couple of questions, shows us the choices we can make in how we live or what we believe. Outside the family unit people can use these questions to start a chat session with neighbors, coworkers or basically others you are in contact with in daily life. Plus I think it will help Christians to think about how movies, books, media or any topic can be prayerfully thought through and then approached in discussion with other folks.
My rating is 5 stars.
