This book picks off a few months after the conclusion of book one.  It is set near Seattle, Washington.  Lee Brandt has left National Aerospace to go back to his first career love of meteorology.  His knowledge will definitely come in handy in this deadly journey he and Jenn are about to embark on as a dangerous storm is coming their way.  Jenn is now working for NSA and has been doing some research in the more remote parts of the state and inadvertently records a cell phone conversation arranging for the sale of some young girls in exchange for drugs.  Jenn and Lee immediately begin to map out possible locations where the girls are being held and set out to investigate them.
Once they have things narrowed down, they notify the FBI of their whereabouts and what they’ve been doing. Throughout their search, they are constantly monitoring the deteriorating weather.  In addition, they soon are pursued by some unscrupulous men who are bent on seeing Lee and Jenn put out of commission.  The chase is on with gun fire exchanged, tires slashed, cars chased and chases through the woods.  Jenn and Lee rely on one another using great teamwork, but they first acknowledge that they can’t do anything without God.  He will protect them and see them safe.
Again, this story is on the move constantly so as to keep readers actively engaged in the story.  I love the way Lee and Jenn live their faith fearlessly.  They aren’t afraid to share their faith in any circumstance.  They pray in public without a thought toward what others might think, which I think is great!  They are both such fine examples of young adults living a Godly lifestyle that we don’t hear too much about in today’s media.  They are committed to each other after first committing their lives to God.  Lee and Jenn are always up for sharing their faith whenever and however the Holy Spirit leads them.  I can’t wait to read book three, Moon Over Maalaea Bay to see what Lee and Jenn are up to next!
My rating is 5 stars.
