The Allepo Code

Title:  The Aleppo Code (The Jerusalem Prophecies #3)
Author:  Terry Brennan
Pages:  384
Year:  2015
Publisher:  Kregel Publications
First off the mark, I would strongly encourage readers to read book one, The Sacred Cipher as well as book two, The Brotherhood Conspiracy before tackling this third book in The Jerusalem Prophecies series.  The story in book three picks up right where book two ended, so without reading the prior two books I think it would be hard to really get into this story.
Tom Bohannon and his team of friends are in Israel mourning the death of some of their colleagues and friends when something stunning is discovered.  They thought their mission was over, but now they find out what they have previously unearthed is not all there is to the story.  Their lives are still in danger and so is the state of world if they believe what has just been revealed.  There is a potential weapon that could wield power and enable world domination.  The source is the staff of Aaron used by Moses to part the Red Sea.  Tom and his group decide they must find the staff before the Brotherhood does.  What follows is plenty of tension and excitement as the chase for the staff of Aaron is on!
If you like action, adventure, political intrigue, and archeology, this series is for you.  The action is non-stop and entertaining.  The part of the plot where an Islamic fundamentalist faction aims to take over the world by gaining control of leading international nations’ finances seemed very realistic.  The author has done a lot of research on his topic and he was able to weave a lot of factual information into his fictional plot to make a very entertaining story.  The factual information is detailed in an Author’s Note at the end of the book.  I liked seeing the team’s reliance on God throughout and watching how He worked things out in the end.  I look forward to see what flows next from this author’s pen!
My rating is 4 stars.

This whole series is so worth reading! They excel at suspense and grabbing the heart of the reader, pulling them into the plethora of happenings in the book. The series has a total of four books that can be read as stand-alone stories though I found reading them in order helped enhance my understanding of the plot and characters.
The titles in order are: Convenient Lies, Twisted Lies followed by Generous Lies, which comes before this final novel I am sharing my thoughts on today.Robin weaves such a well-crafted plot that brings the reader into the story from the first page, and then keep turning the pages with all the twists and turns in the plot.I felt like I was right there observing what was happening around me even though I was reading the book.
Time flew by quickly and I was unaware of what was going on around me because I was lost in the pages!Right th…
